Hello hello hello, all my fans who live all over the world with a special shout-out to all my fans in the UK!
A new day of blogging has begun. What adventures in blogging will we share today?
It’s still cold in The ‘Burgh. The City of Pittsburgh Public Schools have cancelled classes for today according to the 24/7 all news local radio station that I listen to. The station says that the high today may reach 9 degrees and the wind chill factor could be as low as a -20 degrees. We may get some scattered snow flurries added to the two to three inches of snow that’s already on the ground. (I know. I could be in Boston.)
What a mess.
I wanted to return my library book about the Crimean War in 1853 to 1856 and to check out another book, but I’m not going outside since I don’t have to. The high is supposed to be around 30 degrees on Saturday. That will feel like a heat wave. I’ll enjoy a nice walk to the public library on Saturday. It’s about a twenty minute walk from my apartment building.
It’s good to know that yesterday, catchers and pitchers for the Pittsburgh Pirates reported to camp in Florida for spring training. Baseball is just around the corner. Can more spring-like weather be far behind?
Well, this post is just to get the ball rolling. It’s still dark outside.
This is the Old Soldier reporting from Pittsburgh.
