Welcome to the house that erotic flash fiction built. This house is committed to writers who are committed to writing. Most writers do not make a living at writing; but these writers still need a place to recharge their creative batteries, a place to showcase their work and a place that pays them for their work.
The Pittsburgh Flash Fiction Gazette is that place.
I’m a writer, too. I’m the Old Soldier, the keeper of this house. You will find lots of rooms in this house, but the main room is the erotic flash fiction room.
So, relax and enjoy yourself. You are among friends.
Hello, my brother and sister readers and writers of erotic flash fiction. There are only a few days left in 2013. I’m already putting together the January 2014 edition of the PFFG. Anna Bayes and Heather Kinnane will provide us with our featured erotic flash fiction for January; and the Old Soldier will definitely be paying Nico’s in Little Italy another visit or two for another report on karaoke as performance art.
I’ll also be using Armand’s in Little Italy as my outpost for reporting on the comings and goings on Liberty Avenue and as a source for an occassional character study of the denizens of this neighborhood bar.
I hope to continue to offer useful tips on how to write flash fiction and to relay some of my own misdeeds as a writer so that you know we are all in this together.
Welcome to the house that erotic flash fiction built.
This is the Old Soldier reporting from a few blocks away from the University of Pittsburgh.
PS As a rule, the setup of a flash fiction story should be as short as possible so that the reader can get to the inter-action between or among the characters as soon as possible. The best flash fiction writers know when to follow this rule and when to break it.
