You know you can’t beat that with a stick!
I’m getting better at this blogging business. The Pittsburgh Flash Fiction Gazette will definitely end the year 2017 in the black by about $50.00. I know. I know. That’s not a lot of money. It’s really nothing to brag about, but with all I’ve learned in the nearly four years of being the editor/publisher of this blog that $56.00 check gives me hope I can do even better next year.
That $56.00 check represents $50.00 of net profit for the year. I invested around $250.00 in this blog this year for hosting and domain name and daily backup and for the fees I paid for the fiction I published by contributors.
I thank all of you for visiting my blog. I hope many of you will visit often. This is Guy Hogan reporting for the Pittsburgh Flash Fiction Gazette. All photos of Nicki Minaj were sampled from Egoallstars.
PS The Sun Also Rises by Ernest Hemingway is my favorite novel of all times. I usually re-read it a couple of times a year. The novel inspires me as a blogger and as a writer of fiction. I recently found on YouTube the 1957 movie version of the novel. I’ve become obsessed with the movie. It stars Tyrone Powell and Ava Gardner. It is a great movie. It captures the spirit of the novel. The screen writer and director and all of the actors did a great job.
I’m re-reading the novel again. I checked it out of the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh, the public library. And I can watch the movie on YouTube anytime I want to.
Hail to Pitt!
