The new work week has begun. Hello, all my brother and sister readers and writers from all over the world! It’s a beautiful, sunny and warm late morning in Pittsburgh. The Old Soldier has just showered and shaved and I feel like a new man. I’m on my way to Armand’s in Little Italy for a few beers. But before I go I wanted to put this post up.
Later in the week, I’ll publish a poem by Gary Bloom. It will be Gary’s second poem to appear in this magazine.
I’ll also publish another story by Lori Schafer.
The Old Soldier is already giving thought to the songs he’ll sing at karaoke at Nico’s in Little Italy this Saturday night which means a report on the local karaoke scene will be forthcoming.
The Woman As Art photo series will continue to grace these pages.
And as always I’ll share with you any tips I have on how to write flash fiction and how to survive as a writer. All in all it should be a pretty good week for anyone who can appreciate an online magazine of creative writing, culture and sex.
This is the Old Soldier reporting from Pittsburgh.
