It’s nearly 8:00 a.m. and a new day of blogging has begun! Hello hello hello, everybody everywhere! Welcome to my diary and smut magazine. This blog is a diary because I report on the mundane details of my life, the life of a retired baby boomer who is now pursing his dream of being a full-time professional blogger. This blog is a smut magazine because it presents adult entertainment for your reading and viewing pleasure.
You know you can’t beat that with a stick!
But this blog also reports on things like karaoke and crock pot cooking and shopping at dollar stores. It reports on issues that concern veterans since I’m a veteran and on how to write flash fiction since I write flash fiction. And of course since I’m retired it reports on being retired.
Hell, you’ll find a smorgasbord of subjects in the pages of this blog. You never really know what you’re going to find in the pages of this blog. Enjoy the ride.
At 11:28 a.m. winter officially begins today according to the man on the radio. Well, the one good thing about the apartment building I live in is the heat is included in the rent and my apartment is nice and warm in the wintertime, sometimes too warm. See, the building has radiator heat. There is no thermostat. There are two radiators in my living room/kitchenette and a smaller one in my tiny bathroom. My tiny bedroom doesn’t have a radiator, but that’s all right. I never sleep in my bed anyway. My tiny bedroom doesn’t have any windows. I get claustrophobic. I sleep on the sofa in the living room/kitchenette which has two nice size windows with each pointing in a different direction. I have an apartment in the back on a corner of my apartment building. Anyway, you twist a knob on the radiator to adjust the heat, but this is a very imprecise way to heat your apartment. The place is either too warm or just right. But at least the system doesn’t bang like it did when I moved in many years ago. I remember many times waking up in the middle of the night because it sounded like someone was in the garage banging on the pipes with a hammer. That no longer happens. So, I’m grateful for small blessings. After all, in four more days it’ll be Christmas…
“Now with page views hovering around 1,000 every day I’ve been re-energized as a blogger. Achieving my goal of getting at least 1,000 page views every day seems to be within my grasp. And since I’m retired, I not only have the passion to succeed as a full-time professional blogger, I also have the time. I guess you get out of retirement what you put into retirement.”–Guy Hogan
