Whoops! In the post “Coming Attractions For 24-31 August 2015” that I published today I stated that the Pirates were playing this afternoon and the Steelers were playing this evening.
The Steelers are playing this afternoon and the Pirates are playing this evening (I corrected the mistake).
I don’t think I’ve ever published a post that was a correction before. Well, I guess I’m becoming more professional in spite of myself; which is a good thing. And since I decided to publish this correction I may as well share some stats with you since if I don’t this blog post would really be too short to publish.
I’m still trying to figure out just how much traffic the Pittsburgh Flash Fiction Gazette gets. Now I’ve done research about how to tell how much traffic your blog gets. And I still really can’t get a handle on how much traffic The Gazette gets.
I know there are two kinds of traffic: organic traffic and direct traffic. As far as I can tell, organic traffic is made up of stuff like traffic from search engines and traffic that is referred from social media and other sites. Direct traffic comes from things like bookmarks, email subscriptions and RSS (syndication).
I have two stats pages. I know one gives me my organic traffic and I’m pretty sure the other one gives me my direct traffic. My direct traffic is always more than my organic traffic. If I’m reading my traffic correctly, the Pittsburgh Flash Fiction Gazette is averaging around 10,000 readers every month and 30,000 page views every month.
But I’m really not sure…
