Welcome to my humble online home. I’m the Old Soldier, the editor/publisher of the Pittsburgh Flash Fiction Gazette. For me, this online magazine is a dream come true. For the first time in my life I’m working for myself. And although I’m retired, I’m putting in more time and effort into this magazine than I ever did when I worked for someone else. And I’m loving it.
I run the magazine just like a business. The magazine has a budget and a team of professional IT people to help me with any technical issues I may encounter.
And just like every good business, I have a vision for this magazine. I see the magazine as the premiere publication for erotic flash fiction on the Internet. That’s a lofty goal. I know. And I know I can’t achieve this goal by myself.
That’s where you come in. Here’s the meat of my invitation.
This publication is a paying market. The competition is fierce and the magazine can absorb the work of only two guest writers every month. So, as a writer you have to not only be good, but you also have to be lucky to get published here. But once you do have a story (or a poem) accepted for publication, you enter the charmed circle of writers that I depend on year round for publishable content.
Think it over.
If you decide to accept my invitation, you will find the Submissions tab in the sidebar. Read and follow the guidelines and send in your best. You may only get one chance. That’s the nature of online publishing.
Keep reading and keep writing flash fiction and good luck!
