I have my two featured contributors set for the month of May: Anna Bayes and Donya Petrock.
For those of you who follow or subscribe to this online magazine, you know all about the very talented Anna Bayes. Anna Bayes has had several stories of erotica published in the Pittsburgh Flash Fiction and two revealing interviews. You will find Anna’s erotica and interviews in the sidebar under Guest Writers. Anna Bayes returns in May with another hot erotic flash fiction story, a story of seduction and orgasmic girl on girl action. You don’t want to miss it.
Donya Petrock is new to our community of readers and writers of erotica. The Old Soldier is not a fan of domination and submission; but Donya is such a talented writer and her story of erotica is so good that I would have been a fool to have passed it up. The Old Soldier may be many things, but he ain’t no fool. You don’t want to miss Donya’s debut erotica.
I’m no fool, but I may be an alcoholic, a functioning alcohol. Well, I thought today I would be sitting on my favorite stool at Armand’s in Little Italy gazing out at Liberty Avenue and thinking deep thoughts about life and death and writing, but it was not to be. Oh, I got the check I was expecting, but it’s dated for tomorrow. Usually, this is not a problem. The bank must have some new regulations in place. So I’ll have to wait for tomorrow for my cold beers. It will give me something else to look forward to.
Just like you have more than just two erotic flash fiction stories to look forward to in the May issue of the Pittsburgh Flash Fiction. There will be a new report on the Saturday night karaoke scene at Nico’s in Little Italy. Nico’s is known for two things: the best karaoke in the city (this according to The City Paper) and the best gyro sandwich in the city (this according to me). The kitchen is open on Saturday nights.
I’ll continue to share with you my enthusiasm for The Doors.
And the month of May should be a good time to start paying more attention to the Pittsburgh Pirates as the weather and their season begins to heat up.
And since publishing this blog is a lot like playing jazz, there’s a lot of improvising going on (just like a live Door’s concert), who knows what topics will appear in the pages of this magazine.
This is the Old Soldier, sober and thirty, reporting for the Pittsburgh Flash Fiction, a magazine of local interest, culture and sex as art and entertainment.
