Hello hello hello, all you rock ‘n’rollers and welcome to the Pittsburgh Adult which is an online magazine of entertainment for adults but it also deals with such serious issues like property and tax rebates and the reason I’m blogging about this today is because your Baby Boomer Papa got his application yesterday in the mail which is good news for me because through this program I’ve gotten a check for the past several years for $500.00 the first day of July and now it’s time for me to re-apply for the program and you may be eligible for the program too.
- WHAT IS THE PROPERTY TAX/RENT REBATE PROGRAM?
A Pennsylvania program providing rebates on property tax or rent paid the previous year by income-eligible seniors and people with disabilities.
- HOW TO APPLY?
Submit the paper application in this booklet to the Department of Revenue. Instructions are inside.
- AM I ELIGIBLE?
The program benefits income-eligible Pennsylvanians age 65 and older, widows and widowers age 50 and older, and people with disabilities age 18 and older.
- IMPORTANT DATES
Application deadline: June 30, 2018
- REBATES BEGIN
Early July, 2018
You should apply for this lovely rebate if you meet the qualifications which are spelled out in detail in the application which is free and if you do meet the qualifications and you are not already in the program you are probably wondering where you can pick up an application like the one I got in the mail because you only get an application in the mail if you got a rebate last year so your Baby Boomer Papa is going to tell you what to do.
Just go to your nearest senior citizen center or to your nearest public library and ask them if the Pennsylvania Property Tax or Rent Rebate Program 2017 applications are in yet and they will let you know if the applications are in or when they expect them to be in and good luck for there is nothing like having a little extra cash in your pockets in the summertime and that’s the name of that tune.
This is your Baby Boomer Papa reporting for the Pittsburgh Flash Fiction Gazette. If you know someone who would be interested in this information please share it with them.
