The blogging day has begun! I’ve already put up a new Naked News video report from Shannon Blake this morning and now I’m working on this blog post for your reading and viewing pleasure as classical music plays low on the local 24/7 Public Radio Station.
Yes your Baby Boomer Papa has found out that working on the PFFG the first thing when I get up is the best way to keep the creative juices flowing.
Now an hour or so ago as I lay awake in the dark on the sofa and listened to the classical music that had put me to sleep I had no idea what to blog about this morning so I was happy to find a new Naked News video ready for download. Or is it up load?
And then I clicked on Egoallstars and I found several photos of Asa Akira. It seems that about this time every year there is such a thing as “No Pants Subway Day” in New York City. I’m not making this up. Some riders on the subway don’t wear any pants.
Well, who am I to low-ball a local custom. Asa Akira is not only a model but my sources also tell me she’s a native New Yorker and not only did she get on the subway with no pants she went topless too. And gave me something else to blog about.
I’m happy to report that Jean Michelle and Heather Kinnane both have agreed to write at least two erotic flash fiction stories each for this year’s edition of the PFFG. I hope to start off with a story from Jean in March.
I’m also happy to report that we in Pittsburgh will be getting a break from freezing our asses off. Today the high will be around 47 with a slight possibility of rain but tomorrow the high will be (wait for it) 62. Yes, I said the high for tomorrow will be 62 in January in Pittsburgh. If I may quote that great American philosopher Jim Morrison, “Strange days are upon us…”
Hail to Pitt!
“If a writer of prose knows enough of what he is writing about he may omit things that he knows and the reader, if the writer is writing truly enough, will have a feeling of those things as strongly as though the writer had stated them. The dignity of movement of an ice-berg is due to only one-eight of it being above water. A writer who omits things because he does not know them only makes hollow places in his writing.”–Ernest Hemingway
“I find the most difficult thing about being a full-time professional blogger is the constant need to produce on a regular basis content that my readers want to read. Retirement gives me the income and the time to do this but it is still a struggle. So every day I try to live in the moment and to enjoy the good and the bad and then later I sit at my workstation and try to blog about the good and the bad. It’s a wonderful job to have especially when you’re retired.”–Guy Hogan
This is Guy Hogan reporting for the Pittsburgh Flash Fiction Gazette. All photos of Asa Akira were sampled from Egoallstars. Become a regular visitor to the PFFG. Bookmark it or follow it or signup for your free email subscription today!
