I’ve been listening all morning to the local all-news 24/7 radio station while I checked my email, my social media accounts and as I changed some of the featured posts on the front page of the Pittsburgh Flash Fiction Gazette.
The big news story is the weather.
The roads are a mess. Traffic is all screwed up. The Pittsburgh Public School System has cancelled all classes for the day. The city is supposed to get between two to four more inches of snow on top of the several inches of slushy snow that is already on the ground. The high might reach 19 degrees later today. The rivers around the city are over flowing their banks in certain areas.
I’m going to post this. Take a shower. Get dressed and stroll into Little Italy for a couple of beers at Armand’s.
This is the Old Soldier reporting from Pittsburgh.
