Hello, hello, hello, all you rock ‘n’ rollers all over the world! Guy Hogan is my name and flash fiction is my game. A new day of blogging has begun. What adventures in blogging will we share today?
I’m sitting at my workstation in my underwear, scribbling in a small notebook as I listen to the local 24/7 all news station on the radio. My apartment is warm. Radiator heat is probably one of the best ways to heat a small apartment, but it’s difficult to adjust the heat. Oh, well, I’m glad management has the heat on. Sometimes management waits until the middle of November to turn on the heat. Give me a moment to turn the heat down…
It’s around 6:00 a.m. and it’s still dark outside.
My military pension was deposited in my account this morning. So, I plan to be at karaoke at Nico’s in Little Italy Saturday night. I’ve been doing my deep breathing and stretching exercises for the past ten days and I’ve been practicing my on stage body language and mannerisms and the three songs that I’ll be singing.
One time at karaoke a young woman approached me after I had performed a song and we got to talking and she was surprised when I told her that yes I practice the songs that I sing at karaoke. I said, “You don’t think I just get up there and sing, do you?”
I wonder how many people who have seen me perform think that I just get up there and sing. If they only knew.
Well, enough about me…
Even though there are several hours left in this month of October, here are some stats for the Pittsburgh Flash Fiction Gazette that you may be interested in.
Average Page Views Per Day For October 2015: 511
Total Page Views For October 2015: 14,888
Total Visitors For October 2015: 5,417
These are nice numbers. My numbers have been increasing for the past 18 months or ever since I began publishing this latest version of my little girlie magazine; but I don’t know if the numbers will continue to rise. Every publication naturally reaches a plateau. We will just have to wait and see.
This is Guy Hogan reporting for the Pittsburgh Flash Fiction Gazette, a girlie magazine for writers that celebrates female sexuality.
Today in Pittsburgh there will be a mix of clouds and sunshine with a high around 55.
Hail to Pitt!
