Hello, hello, hello, all you rock ‘n’ rollers all over the world!
I’m getting a late start this morning. When I woke up the sun was up. It’s usually still dark outside when I sit at my workstation to begin another day of blogging. But for some reason last night I indulged in a silent film marathon (YouTube) before finally passing out on the sofa.
All silent films are not made equal. And there can be a great difference in acting, cutting and pacing between a film made in 1912 and 1914. Some silent filmmakers realized that film was a new medium that demanded a new aesthetic based on telling a story through a sequence of images while other filmmakers were still using the aesthetics of the traditional theater which simply did not work for film.
It would be like a writer trying to write a flash fiction story mainly through exposition instead of telling the story by writing in scenes.
But I digress…
Well, we are going to have another beautiful day in The ‘Burgh today, sunny with a high around 65. I’m finally at my workstation and I’m ready to get to work.
