It’s a humid, warm (80s) and overcast (the sun is trying to break through) afternoon in The ‘Burgh. We’re in between thunder storms. I’m obsessing over my direct and organic traffic. As far as I can tell (all three of my stats pages give me different numbers), the Pittsburgh Flash Fiction Gazette averages around 8,000 visitors and around 25,000 page views every month. How do I double my traffic? How do I quadruple my traffic? How do I become more successful? And by more successful I do mean more traffic. How do I go viral? I think everything I need to be more successful is in place: daily updates, a great format, a good product and a unique vision for an online girlie magazine; but something’s missing, something that will make my little girlie magazine go viral.
What to do? What to do? What to do? Being the editor/publisher of Pittsburgh’s premiere girlie magazine is not as glamorous as you may think it is.
