Hello, all my fans of erotic flash fiction wherever you may be! The Old Soldier is reporting for duty.
It will be a cloudy day in The ‘Burgh today with the high only around 60. I have some small chicken breasts in my crock pot covered with water with several dashes of salt and pepper. The chicken breasts will be the meat component for my Ramen Noodles for several days. After I post this I’m going to stroll to the supermarket in Little Italy to see what vegetables are on the discount self. Usually, I can pick up a package of green, red or yellow peppers, or an onion and peppers or some other vegetables for my noodles for a dollar or less. I tell you this new Ramen Noodles menu is saving me money big time. And when you’re a struggling writer (unless you’re making a living at writing you’re a struggling writer) stretching your money is the name of the game.
Now that a second person (a nurse) has come down with Ebola (in Texas) the accusations are flying back and forth about how this nurse got the virus. Was protocol followed when the nurse was treating the first person to die from the virus on US soil? Did the nursing team have the proper protective clothing? Did the hospital staff have the proper training to deal with a patience infected with Ebola?
The bottom line is that the US heath care system was not ready to treat Ebola.
The University of Pittsburgh Panthers have a football game today and the Steelers will play the Houston Texans on Monday Night Football. Both teams are 3 and 3 and both teams need a win. None of this stuff about being better than your record.
I’ve already updated the front page so be sure to check it out before you leave. This is the Old Soldier reporting for the PittsburghFlashFiction, Pittsburgh’s #1 magazine of commentary, local interests, pop culture and sex as art and entertainment.
Keep reading and keep writing that erotic flash fiction.
