Hello hello hello, everybody with a special hello to all you first-time visitors in the audience! How’s everyone doing?
The Old Soldier is relaxing, getting some summer time reading done (God’s Bankers, A History Of Money And Power At The Vatican by Gerald Posner; Entrepreneurship For The Rest Of Us, How To Create Innovation And Opportunity Everywhere by Paul B. Brown; and Good Pussy Bad Pussy In Captivity by Amy Aimee) as I lay flat on my back on the sofa with two fat pillows under my weary head as I listen to 93.7 FM The Fan sports radio talk show. Ah, the quiet life.
Earlier today I did stroll into Little Italy to get ground beef, an onion and two carrots for my spaghetti sauce. Yes, I dice up carrots and put them in my spaghetti sauce. It’s a sunny, mild (70s) day in Pittsburgh, a good day to rest before the madness begins all over again.
I’m expecting some fun money in a few days. So you know what that means. In the mean time I’m happy to go for long walks and to read my books and to think deep thoughts about writing and life and to noodle around the apartment.
Being the editor/publisher of the Pittsburgh Flash Fiction Gazette is not as glamorous as you may think it is.
This is the Old Soldier reporting from Pittsburgh.
