Hello hello hello, all my fans who live all over the world with a special shout-out to all my fans in Belgium, Indonesia and Argentina!
The blogging day has begun.
I will be returning to my beat in Little Italy today (Thank goodness!) Right now, around 9:00 a.m., it’s a sunny, cold day in The ‘Burgh. The high will be around 17 degrees. But that’s okay. I’m looking forward to my first beer at Armand’s.
Direct Traffic And Organic Traffic
If you have a blog like I do, there are two ways to keep track of the visitors and pageviews of your blog. There’s direct traffic and there’s organic traffic. Direct traffic comes from things like bookmarks, RSS (Really Simple Syndication), subscriptions and follows. Organic traffic comes from links and search engines. (Some blogging platforms have stats pages that only give you your organic traffic. I have two stats pages and one shows me my direct traffic and the other one shows me my organic traffic.)
The Pittsburgh Flash Fiction Gazette is now averaging 12,000 visitors and 60,000 pageviews every month from direct and organic traffic. These numbers bring tears of joy to the eyes of the Old Soldier.
My friends, the Old Soldier salutes you!
This is the Old Soldier reporting from Pittsburgh.
