Hello, hello, hello, all you rock ‘n’ rollers! Welcome to my little girlie magazine.
I always use Sundays to recharge my batteries. Oh, I can be lazy other days of the week, but on Sundays I’m officially lazy. For one thing there are no deep breathing and stretching exercises (that all begins over again tomorrow). My only plans for today are to continue reading the excellent biography on Frederick the Great that I checked out from the public library several days ago and to continue reading the wonderful book on the work of Edgar Allan Poe that I got from the public library, too.
And I’ll definitely listen to the Steelers football game on the radio while I’m flat on my back on the sofa (two fat pillows under my weary head) as I read my books from the library.
It’s still dark outside. After I post this I’ll take a shower and I may or may not shave in the shower. I haven’t shaved my face or my head in several days and I look like a bum badly in need of a drink. I’m not a bum, but I do need a drink.
And I’ll rotate some of the featured posts on the front page back to the archives and put other posts in the archives back on the front page. I do this to maximize my assets and because around 85% of the visitors to this site are first-time visitors. So, everything is new to them. My regular readers (you know who you are), the Old Soldier salutes you!
And I’ll wash the dirty dishes that have been in the kitchen sink for the past two days and that’s it!
As of this morning, my Google Analytics tell me that the Pittsburgh Flash Fiction Gazette has 5,449 visitors and 16,480 page views for November 2015 and there are still more than 24 hours left to go. Tuesday I’ll be back on my beat in Little Italy and the madness starts all over again.
This is Guy Hogan reporting from Pittsburgh.
Today in The ‘Burgh there will be a mix of clouds and sunshine with a high around 50.
Hail to Pitt!
