Hello, hello, hello, all you rock ‘n’ rollers! Guy Hogan is my name and blogging is my game. How’s everyone doing? If you’re not doing well, I hope my little girlie blog can bring a little happiness into your life for just a little while.
It’s still dark outside (6:45 a.m.)! I fell asleep on the sofa (flat on my back with two fat pillows under my weary head) last night listening to old comedy, crime and drama programs on the local 24/7 all news station on the radio while watching The Endless Summer (mute) on YouTube. So much for my glamorous life; but I woke up this morning refreshed and ready to blog.
If you’re a blogger like I am, do you ever run out of ideas to blog about? I know I use to, but not anymore.
I use to run out of ideas to blog about because I thought every blog post had to be riveting or I would lose my audience. Then my ideas about blogging slowly evolved. I realized that my job as a blogger was to entertain or to inform or to inspire. At least that should be my goal. This philosophy of blogging totally freed up my imagination, because it meant that I could use my everyday life as content. Think about it. If you can use your everyday life for content, you would never run out of ideas to blog about. Just remember, you have to use your everyday life as an analogy to entertain or inform or to inspire.
Of course, this blog is made up of a lot more than content based on my everyday life (that would be boring). It’s also made up of fiction, film and television, karaoke and topless women. But I’m sure you catch my drift.
Your everyday life is a gold mine.
