What a beautiful, sunny day we have in The ‘Burgh today. The high will be in the 40s.
Hello hello hello, all my fans who live all over the world! The Old Soldier is reporting for duty.
Did you know I’m a big fan of crock pot cooking? I am. And I’m going to finish up today one container of the ham hocks and lima beans that I cooked in my crock pot a few days ago and take out of the freezer the other container of ham hocks and lima beans. I’ll be eating ham hocks and lima beans for several more days.
But I digress.
Here’s my schedule for today. I’m going to do some re-tweeting to promote The Gazette, read the books that I got from the public library yesterday (one book on Prussia and one book on the life cycle of imperial nations), work on The Gazette, listen to Pirates baseball on the radio and just more or less relax.
It is Sunday, you know.
Then tomorrow begins a new work week. I take being a full-time blogger seriously. I can be a full-time blogger because I’m retired. I’ll probably wait until tomorrow before doing anything technical behind the scenes like updating plug-ins.
The last time I updated a plug-in, my screen went white. Something that had never happened before. No matter what I did I couldn’t get The Gazette back up on my screen. I had to phone my IT team at HostGator and they got The Gazette back up on my screen.
So, since today is Sunday, I’ll wait until tomorrow to do anything technical, because HostGator may have only a skeleton crew on duty today.
Being the editor/publisher of Pittsburgh’s #1 magazine for adults is not as glamorous as you may think it is.
This is the Old Soldier reporting for the Pittsburgh Flash Fiction Gazette, a blog of commentaries, culture, erotic short stories, movies, things Pittsburgh and sex as art and entertainment.
