How’s everyone doing?
It’s an overcast day in The ‘Burgh with the high supposedly reaching the mid-50s; and this afternoon we’re supposed to get some sunshine. Well, it’s around 2:00 PM and no sunshine yet. But I’m a patient man.
I already made a run to Armand’s in Little Italy. I had two sixteen-ounce cans of beer, watched some television, shot the breeze with Joe the bartender and gazed out at gloomy Liberty Avenue. Then I walked back to my apartment in a light rain.
Crock Pot Cooking
But I immediately brightened up when I got to the door of my apartment, because I could smell the ham hocks, lima beans, green peppers and carrots that I had put on before daylight cooking in my crock pot. I’ll be eating ham hocks and lima beans for days. I’ll put two thirds of it in the freezer. I have a large crock pot (slow cooker).
