Hello, all you rock ‘n’ rollers! Guy Hogan is my name and blogging is my game. This blog post is about blogging for fun and profit. Now I’ve been blogging for about 15 years and I know that a lot of bloggers blog just for the fun of blogging and making money from their blog is not a priority; but if making money from your blog is a priority like it is for me, I’ve found that having clear short-term and long-term goals help to keep me motivated and focused.
Your short-term goal should be something that is doable within a relativity short period of time. Your long-term goal should be something that can only be achieved after a prolonged period of time and sustained effort.
What are my short-term and long-term goals as a blogger?
My short-term goal as a blogger is to have a floor of 300 visitors and 1,000 page views every day. Right now for March 2016, this blog has a floor of 230 visitors and 742 page views every day. My long-term goal is to get a check from my affiliate network (Mr. Skin/Naked News) every month. Since the network only releases a check to me when there is at least $50.00 in my account and since I’ve only made $74.00 so far this year, my long-term goal is going to take a prolonged period of time and sustained effort to achieve.
Do you have a short-term and a long-term goal, too?
Hail to Pitt!
