I was in Bloomfield (Little Italy) earlier today. Today is the Bloomfield Block Party. The sun finally broke through the clouds to give a more festive feel to the block party. I did a circuit of the business district on Liberty Avenue where the block party was being held and then retired to Armand’s to watch the comings and goings on Liberty Avenue from the comfort of a bar stool.
The best thing about the block party, from my vantage point, were the women in yoga pants walking and jogging passed Armand’s. The female butt was on full display.
After several beers I stood at a bus stop next to a woman who played an electric accordion and she had a keyboard set up to accompany herself. The keyboard played bass and drum lines. She was pretty good. And she did a little singing, too.
And just before my bus arrived a young woman with maybe friends and family went into the bar next door and her white yoga pants were skin-tight. And she had the butt for them.
A few food stands were set up along the side walks and a band played down the street from the bus stop. That was my experience with the Bloomfield Block Party.
Well, after I do another load of laundry, I have my own performance to do tonight at Nico’s in Little Italy. It’s karaoke as performance art. I know the lyrics to several songs of The Doors so that I can keep eye contact with the audience which is the essence of karaoke as performance art. And I have several business cards in my wallet to promote the Pittsburgh Flash Fiction if the opportunity presents itself.
But I can promote the magazine to you right now. The Pittsburgh Flash Fiction is an online magazine of erotica and so much more. I publish some of the best writers of erotica on the Internet; but the magazine is a mix of culture, local interest, how to articles and erotica. It’s a different kind of erotica magazine.
