Hello hello hello, the Old Soldier is back from his stroll into Little Italy in order to re-stock his food supply. Outside, the sun is trying to break through the cloud cover and I’m sitting at my workstation munching on a bowl of the last of the antipasto salad that I got yesterday in Little Italy; but today I picked up a bag of lima beans, three ham hocks, a carrot and a green pepper and I threw it all in the crock pot with several cups of water. Of course, only after preparing everything properly. I’ll be eating on ham hocks and lima beans for days. And because of the ham hocks, there was no need to add any salt.
A writer’s got to eat!
But enough about me. I need to get back to work.
