A new day of blogging has begun! Hello hello hello, this is your Baby Boomer Papa reporting for duty on a day when there will be a mix of clouds and sunshine in Pittsburgh with a high of 45 with the possibility of rain tonight that may turn into a couple of inches of snow and yesterday I skipped my deep breathing and flexibility and stretching exercises but not today because the first Sunday night of February I plan to be at Sonny’s Tavern in Little Italy for karaoke so I have to get ready and in only three days I’ll be back on my regular beat in Little Italy at Armand’s looking for inspiration at the bottom of a beer can.
I don’t own a cellphone and I don’t have long-distance on my land-line in order to save money so all of my siblings who are much better off financially than I am have to phone me because of where they live and last night the younger brother who lives outside of Las Vegas phoned me and we talked for maybe 40 minuets with last night’s call being the second call within about ten days because he’s going through a difficult period in his life with being separated from his second wife and living by himself for the first time in like 30 years and I guess he needed to talk to me his older brother.
I truly empathize with him for I’ve never been married but I have lived alone for many years and it is not easy to live alone and he realizes he has to stay busy and get out and now that he’s retired too like I’m retired he’s going to try to get back into theatre which has been a life-long interest of his and as we both agreed, if not now when?
Hail to Pitt!

“Next month I must pay $49.95 to HostGator to continue to backup the Pittsburgh Adult on a daily basis for another year. The Pittsburgh Adult is a passion of mine but it is also a business and I must run it like a business. Money goes out and money comes in. My eyes are always on the bottom line.”–Guy Hogan
“My goal as editor/publisher of the Pittsburgh Adult is not to make a living from this blog but to operate in the black for I’m sane enough to know that making a living as a blogger is for me a fantasy, but operating in the black is still an accomplishment to be proud of and it is also doable.”–Guy Hogan
