I’ve assumed my favorite position (I’ll transcribe this later): flat on my back with two fat pillows under my weary head. I’ve got an old notebook binder against a propped up leg and three pieces of scrap paper as notebook paper. Using scrap paper for notebook paper is one of my many little economies.
I stopped in at Armand’s in Little Italy this morning. I had a can of beer and a bag of peanuts and shot the breeze with Gale the bartender. Gale is around my age. There was only one other customer in the bar. He was probably a retiree like me.
I watched Liberty Avenue, as I thought about this blog, but there wasn’t much to see on Liberty Avenue. I always have to remind myself that most people with jobs are at work in the morning. It’s a mild day (low 70s) but overcast.
I usually start blogging before or around day break: changing the front page, adding new content and promoting the blog on social media. So, when Armand’s opens at around 10:00 a.m. I’m ready for a break.
As I’m writing (scribbling) this I’m sipping on a can of beer and listening to the local all sports talk show on the radio and the two hosts are arguing over the local sports scene. The Penguins need to win one more game to make the hockey playoffs (they keep getting beat) while the Pirates are playing the second baseball game of the new season today.
I use to be invested a lot in sports when I was younger, but now that I’m older I’m invested in other things like this blog. If you are invested in erotic flash fiction, welcome to Pittsburgh’s premiere blog of erotic entertainment for men and women. Explore the site. Check out the front page and scan the sidebar. I’ll be the first to admit that this blog is not right for everybody, but it might be just right for you.
This is the Old Soldier reporting from Pittsburgh.
