Girlie magazines have a long history. The first modern girlie magazines appeared around 1900. That’s when print, production and distribution became cheap enough to make a successful girlie magazine a profitable investment. And each girlie magazine tried to carve out its own editorial niche. All the magazines were aimed at male readers. Each magazine ran photos of half-dressed or nude women.
How am I trying to make my girlie magazine stand out from the crowd?
Well, first off my little girlie magazine is aimed at men and women readers. Most of the writers who contribute erotic flash fiction to this magazine are women. The magazine has a focus on flash fiction. And the magazine is hyper local. I blog mainly about two neighborhoods in Pittsburgh: Oakland where I live and which is the home of the University of Pittsburgh and Bloomfield (Little Italy) where I hang out.
These are the qualities that I hope make the PittsburghFlashFiction stand out from the crowd.
Hello, fans of erotic flash fiction who live all over the world! Guy Hogan is my name and erotic flash fiction is my game. It’s another sunny, mild (75) day in Pittsburgh.
I’ve got turkey necks in the crock pot and beer in the refrigerator. Explore the site. A different post from the archives is featured on the front page every day so come back again tomorrow. Keep reading that erotic flash fiction.
This is the Old Soldier reporting for the PittsburghFlashFiction, a magazine of sex as art and entertainment.
