Hello hello hello, all you flash fiction aficionados wherever you may live! The Old Soldier is reporting for duty. Guy Hogan is my name and flash fiction is my game.
How’s everyone doing?
The Old Soldier is doing fine. I’ve been quietly working behind the scenes here at the Pittsburgh Flash Fiction Gazette, tweaking this and adjusting that. Now the RSS-Feed contains the summations of 1,000 posts. You can scroll through the summations of the latest 1,000 posts of the magazine and read what you like. It’s so cool and it’s free. Sign up and check it out. It’s like Twitter just for my little girlie magazine. If you decide to sign up just refresh the feed and you get the latest posts going back to post 1,000.
You know you can’t beat that with a stick!
I recently published a post that was 1,000 words long (“Your Journey As A Successful Flash Fiction Writer Can Begin Today”). I haven’t published a post that long in years. And later this month I’ll publish a new story by Nicci Haydon. It will be her second story to appear in the magazine. Her first story, “Shades of Red” is featured on the front page. Check it out.
Other than that I have nothing else to report for right now; but I’m sure that will change as the day goes on.
So, after I post this I’m going to stroll into Little Italy and have a beer at Armand’s on Liberty Avenue. Keep reading and keep writing that flash fiction.
This is the Old Soldier reporting from Pittsburgh.
Hail to Pitt!
Weather Report: Today in The ‘Burgh it will be mostly cloudy with a high around 82.
