Hello, hello, hello, all you rock ‘n’ rollers! Welcome to my little girlie magazine. Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think I would be the editor/publisher of an online girlie magazine. As a young man I wanted to make a living as a writer. That didn’t happen. I wanted to make a living as the singer for a rock ‘n’ roll band. That didn’t happen. I wanted to make a living as a filmmaker. That didn’t happen. I wanted to be a journalist. That didn’t happen. I even thought about entering politics. Thank goodness that didn’t happen. But during all the years that I pursued my dreams I was also gainfully employed most of the time (I did take advantage of the dole whenever I was eligible). So now that I’m retired I don’t have to worry about making a living as the editor/publisher of The Gazette. Which allows me to freely pursue my vision of this publication as a magazine of culture for adults only.
But I digress…
This version of The Gazette went online February 2014. Since then this publication has never gotten 30,000 page views in one month. And it has only gotten more than 25,000 page views in one month twice until today. When I looked at my stats page this morning my little girlie magazine had 25,251 page views for July 2016 and there are still three more days left in this month.
Well spank my bare bottom and call me a nudist. You know you can’t beat that with a stick!
I want to thank all of you, especially my regular readers, for investing some of your valuable time in my little girlie magazine. Now what I have to do is to continue to educate myself on how to run an online girlie magazine and to make sure that from now on the baseline of every monthly issue of the Pittsburgh Flash Fiction Gazette will be 25,000 page views and counting.
Hail to Pitt!
Today in The ‘Burgh it will be a mostly overcast day with the possibility of thunder showers and a high around 85. All photos of Gabriella Catherine used for this blog post were sampled from Egotastic All Stars. Now would be a great time to bookmark or to follow The Gazette or to sign up for your free email subscription today if you haven’t done so already.
