It’s a lovely day in The ‘Burgh today, sunny and the high in the 50s. Oh, I haven’t been outside yet. I’ve been busy at my workstation. I do have a magazine to publish; but there are two nice size windows (each pointing in a different direction) in my living room/kitchenette where I work. So, I know it’s a sunny day and the announcer on the local 24/7 all news station on the radio assured me this morning that in will get up to around 57 today.
Yes, when I’m in the zone I can sit at my workstation for hours reading news outlets on the Internet, studying other more successful online publications like The Village Voice and The Huffington Post and looking for content I can sample.
So, it came as a surprise to me when the announcer on the radio said that the City of Pittsburgh is 200 years old today. 200 years old…
Spank my bare bottom and call me a nudist!
The city plans to have celebrations throughout the year.
Pittsburgh, you’re my home. The Old Soldier salutes you!
This is Guy Hogan reporting for the Pittsburgh Flash Fiction Gazette.
Hail to Pitt!
