Hello, hello, hello, all you rock ‘n’ rollers! Well, I’m recovering from the good time I had at karaoke at Nico’s in Little Italy last night.
I think that sometimes in the pages of this magazine I give the impression that I’m the show at karaoke at Nico’s. Nothing could be further from the truth. There are often times that other singers outshine me, especially in audience appeal. I sing The Doors and The Animals and a little Whitesnake and a little Joe Cocker. Other singers, younger singers, sing more recent songs that are more hip and funkier and that get a great response from the crowd. Although I’m always fascinated by how much classic rock people in their 20s and 30s love to sing and that the audience appreciates.
So, yes, I had a great time at karaoke last night. The place was standing room only in the bar and the dinning room and a good time was had by all.
