Hello, hello, hello, you rock ‘n’ rollers everywhere! It’s the beginning of a new week, the last week of June 2016 and the beginning of the first week of July 2016.
Today will be a sunny, but hot (high around 90) day in The ‘Burgh.
Well, on Sundays I don’t do my deep breathing, flexibility and stretching exercises. Instead I do some cleaning of my apartment. But that doesn’t mean that karaoke is not on my mind. I’ve already decided on the songs by The Doors that I’ll sing at Nico’s (the first Saturday night of July) and at Sonny’s (the first Sunday night of July) and exercises will begin again tomorrow and continue until after karaoke in July. One of the elements of these exercises is to hold my breath for a count of forty beats. I never run out of breath singing karaoke. Not bad for a baby boomer. I’ve seen singers much younger than I am end their songs huffing and puffing. One reason is they yell and shout instead of singing from the diaphragm.
But karaoke is not the only thing on my mind.
Next month is the debut of The Erotic Fiction Special Edition. The special is an excellent reason for you to bookmark, follow or sign up for a free email subscription of this blog of culture for adults only. Oh, I’ve done erotic fiction specials before; but if my memory serves me right (sometimes it doesn’t) these specials always dealt with a single writer. Next month’s special will deal with three writers. This is what we have to look forward to in July.

- The First Love by Nicci Haydon
- Laid-Back Sunday by Clyde Gunn
- A Quick Soak by Kay Arnold
- Rest Stop Stranger by Kay Arnold
I’ve published each of these talented writers before. And to those of you in the audience who want to make money from your fiction, these writers are excellent examples of how to go about it. You find (Google) as many paying markets as you can. You follow the submission guidelines and submit quality content on a regular basis. Over a period of time those editors will come to depend on you for submissions. And in this way you build a relationship with those editors. As I’ve stated before in the pages of this blog, 99% of all writers do not make a living from their writing; but it is possible to supplement your income from your writing. I know I’ve come to depend on these three writers for first-class erotic flash fiction and I will continue to depend on them to provide me with excellent flash fiction in the future.
Anyway, I’m looking forward to the July edition of my little girlie magazine of blogging, film, karaoke, short stories, television and the female nude. And I hope you are look forward to the July edition, too.
Hail to Pitt!
