Hello, hello, hello, all you rock ‘n’ rollers! Welcome to the Pittsburgh Flash Fiction Gazette. Recently the Pittsburgh area has been getting some splendid weather. Yesterday was mostly sunny and warm and today will be mostly sunny and warm with a high around 85 and no chance of rain. As soon as I publish this blog post I’ll be on my way out the door for a leisurely stroll down to Schenley Plaza and the campus of the University of Pittsburgh.
As of this morning The Gazette is averaging 899 pageviews every day so far for September 2016. So far this month the magazine had four days of 1,000 plus pageviews; but my goal of a daily average of at least 1,000 pageviews (30,000 to 33,000 pageviews every month) is still elusive. Oh, I probably could average 1,000 pageviews every day if I published maybe three or four blog posts every day, but I don’t have that much to blog about. This blog is very much a personal daily journal of the life and times of a flash fiction philosopher…
I’ll have more to blog about when I get back to Little Italy. I should be back on my regular beat in Little Italy the last day of this month.
Well, today is the last day of the summer of 2016. I’ve come to the conclusion that the old folk wisdom that says the older you get the faster time flies is true. Many of us (not all of us) couldn’t wait to grow up when we were very young. When you get to be my age (I’m a baby boomer) time does fly.
Explore the site (this is blog post #2,192). You’re sure to find something that will entertain or inform or inspire you (especially if you’re a writer of erotic flash fiction). Make sure you haven’t miss anything on the front page. Scan the sidebar. Checkout my book in the sidebar (especially if you’re a writer-that book won me a $60,000 fellowship that allowed me to get my MFA in fiction writing at Pitt in 2006). If you’re not already a regular reader of my little girlie magazine, become one today.
Hail to Pitt!
