The Old Soldier has a weakness for Little Debbie Pies. This morning I had a Little Debbie Cherry Pie and a cup of milk for breakfast as I stretched out on the sofa and read my books on Edgar Allan Poe and his work.
It was an overcast day in Pittsburgh today. The high for the pass few days has been several degrees above freezing so most of the snow has melted away. I’ll probably eat a few more Little Debbie Pies before this winter is over.
I will return to my beat in Little Italy this coming weekend: Armand’s bar to hangout and Nico’s to report on the karaoke scene. This past Friday I stopped in Armand’s for a draft beer and a six-pack to go. A regular was there that I always talk computers with. He pointed out to me that I could get a better deal on a new or a refurbished computer from Best Buy. I was going to order a computer from Dell.
When I got back home I went online and compared prices and sure enough the man was right. He saved me around $100. I’m going to buy him a couple of beers the next time I see him.
I order my new computer in eight days.
Next month I’ll showcase new stories by Heather Kinnane and Lori Schafer. Both writers have appeared several times in the pages of this magazine. So you don’t want to miss the work of these two talented writers.
Explore the site. You’ll find everything from how to write erotic flash fiction, crock pot cooking, karaoke as performance art, gangbang stories to commentaries on homelessness and poisoning of the environment.
