The Old Soldier got some fun money today.
Sometimes when the 1st of the month arrives on a holiday (like New Year’s Day), I get some fun money earlier than when I’m suppose to get it.
The high today in The ‘Burgh may only be around 38 degrees, but so far it’s a sunny day. I stopped in at Armand’s Bar in Little Italy for a couple of beers and a six-pack to take home.
There was not much going on. There were only three customers sitting at the bar. So, I watched the television at my end of the bar (it’s always a treat for me to watch television because I refuse to have one in my apartment because I feel television impedes my blogging and writing) and I watched Liberty Avenue beyond the window.
I thought about the Pittsburgh Flash Fiction Gazette. I thought about Big Money hijacking our Democracy. I thought about my mortality. I’m 68 years old.
I thought about whether or not karaoke would start on time at Nico’s in Little Italy Saturday night because the Steelers will be playing the Ravens Saturday night.
I thought I should stop doing so much thinking and just go home and do some blogging.
