Do you want to make money writing erotica? I can help you. Erotica is big business. Now I’m not suggesting I can help you write the next Fifty Shades of Grey. I’m saying that I can offer some insights as a publisher who pays for erotica that may help to put some extra money in your pocket. I put extra money in the pockets of two writers every month. And there are several writers who sell me several erotic flash fiction stories every year. If these same writers have other publishers who pay them for erotica, they’ve found a nice way to supplement their income.
That’s the good news.
The bad news is that my humble magazine can absorb only two erotic flash fiction stories each month. But don’t despair. There are hundreds of electronic publishers starving for well-written erotica.

Let’s get down to the nuts and bolts of writing erotica that makes money.
What makes for good erotica, erotica that readers will buy or that publishers (like meself) will pay for? Characterization, description, dialogue where appropriate, a good story and tight writing, the same elements that make for any well-written fiction. Sound familiar? Of course it does. It’s Fiction Writing 101.
In other words, there are no tricks if you want to make money writing erotica. Why don’t you read some of the stories on this site to see how it’s done?

This is the Old Soldier reporting for the Pittsburgh Flash Fiction Gazette, a blog to help you make money writing erotica.
