When I woke up this morning in the dark on the sofa (as usual) it was around 1:30 a.m. and Bloomberg Radio was reporting on Big Money all over the world from my radio/CD player which was turned down low and The Kid staring Charlie Chaplin played on my laptop which sat facing me on my workstation.
So I rolled over and pulled the sheet up to my chin since a sheet is all I need when the radiator heat is on in the building and I fluffed up the two pillows under my weary head and listened to the Bloomberg report and watched Charlie Chaplin in The Kid which is one of my favorite silent films.
It wasn’t long before I got restless. I tried to go back to sleep. I often sleep with the radio on low and a silent film playing on my laptop, the speakers of my laptop muted. It was no use. No sleep.

I did a little dusting and spot cleaning before the men got here and I must say I’m pleased that my little living room/kitchenette with tiny windowless bedroom and closet-size bathroom is a much more pleasant place to live in. I still prefer to sleep on the sofa. That won’t change. Since my tiny bedroom has no windows it’s more like a coffin than a place to sleep in…
Hail to Pitt!
“I’ve recently had a run of good luck. My personal finances have slowly but steadily improved over the last few months and my apartment is a more pleasant place to live in and my page views continue to improve. I’m in a good place. I’m enjoying my retirement. Now maybe I’ll be able to get some sleep before daylight…”Guy Hogan
