Welcome to today’s edition of the Pittsburgh Flash Fiction Gazette, the online girlie magazine of culture for adults and if you like what you see and what you read and you are not a regular visitor now would be the time to bookmark my little girlie magazine or to sign up for a free email subscription today because you don’t want to miss a single blog post especially since content is added on a constant basis and there are now more than 2,200 blog posts on this site for your reading pleasure. Even though my little girlie magazine is Pittsburgh centric there are lots of topics covered here like blogging and how to write flash fiction and karaoke and movies and sexy short stories and television and the female nude that have international interest.
Also I consider The Gazette to be a lifestyle magazine even though the lifestyle it covers is mine which is the lifestyle of a working-class baby boomer who is retired and is now a full-time professional blogger and shopping at dollar stores is a big part of my lifestyle. Luckily for me there is a dollar store right across the street from my apartment building and although every item in the dollar store across the street does not cost just a dollar enough items are a dollar and other items are cheaper than anywhere else that I do save money shopping at this dollar store. This dollar store has all kinds of items in it like food and cooking utensils and flip-flops and toiletries and laundry supplies and bedding I get all my house hold supplies there so one of the first things I’m going to do before strolling into Little Italy on Tuesday is to do some shopping at the dollar store across the street.
Back To Little Italy
Ah yes here I sit at my workstation typing away with the call-in local 24/7 sports show on the radio and Little Italy is on my mind because I get to interact with the rest of the world which is a real treat when you live alone like I do. Many of my blog posts and when I use to write flash fiction many of my flash fiction stories were inspired by my interactions in Little Italy and I always find inspiration at Armand’s were I hangout and at Sonny’s Tavern where I sing karaoke the first Sunday night of every month like I plan to do next month. My fun money should last longer next month too simply because I will get a check from Mr.Skin/Naked News for $66.00 around the 19th of next month which is a good feeling because you’re not a professional blogger until your blogging brings in some money and the Pittsburgh Flash Fiction Gazette is now operating in the black and if it keeps operating in the black I’ll be able to re-open Submissions and start publishing once again the flash fiction of talented contributors from all over the world like I use to but this is still in the future or sometime next year and hopefully no later than the summer of next year. So that’s what’s going on here behind the scenes of the Pittsburgh Flash Fiction Gazette on 29 October 2016.
Hail to Pitt!
Today’s forecast calls for a mix of clouds and sunshine in the Pittsburgh area with a high of 72 and only a 10% chance of rain. That’s strolling weather for me and I plan to get in a good walk today down to Schenley Plaza and around the Pitt campus. All photos of Mellisa Clarke were sampled from Egotastic All Stars.
