Memorial Day is tomorrow. I served in Vietnam. I was one of the lucky ones. Over 50,000 Americans were killed in that war. Of course, Memorial Day is about all of the men and women who have been killed fighting in America’s wars.
Wars of one kind or another will always be with us. And men and women will die so that the rests of us can go on with our lives.
The Old Soldier acknowledges the debt our country owes to all of our war dead.
Memorial Day 2014.
Hello, all my brother and sister readers and writers of erotic flash fiction. This is the Old Soldier reporting for duty on a beautiful spring morning in Pittsburgh. The high will be around 80 and from my favorite position (flat on my back on the sofa with two fat pillows under my weary head as I sip on a can of Pabst Blue Ribbon) I don’t see a cloud in the sky that I can see from my two windows which face in opposite directions.
The Old Soldier came into some unexpected money yesterday (that’s two days in a row that I’ve been so fortunate). That’s right. I made a beeline for Armand’s in Little Italy. It was late afternoon and one of the regulars that I talk computers and the Internet with was there. He gave me some great tips on getting more page views.
And he told me something else that I didn’t know. He’s a big fan of The Doors. Then another regular, who knows I’m obsessed with The Doors, played The Doors on the jukebox. The Old Soldier was among friends.
Here are some of the people who have impacted the content and look of this publication.
Keep reading and keep writing that erotic flash fiction. This is the Old Soldier reporting for the Pittsburgh Flash Fiction, a different kind of erotic magazine. Follow or sign up for your free email subscription today.
