This weekend in the United States, we as a nation honor our war dead, the men and women who have died on battlefields all over the world so that we at home can go about our lives more or less the way we want to.
If there is one thing in life that I hate, it is war. What is it good for? Absolutely nothing’! I fought in Vietnam. I made it back. I was one of the lucky ones.
We as a nation owe a debt of gratitude to our war dead that we can never ever repay.
