Monday! Monday! The Thanksgiving Weekend is over and it’s time for this blogger to get back to work. Hello, all you rock ‘n’ rollers! This is Guy Hogan reporting for duty. One of the first things I heard on the radio this morning as I sat at my workstation and powered up my laptop was that today in Pittsburgh it will be a sunny day with a high of 50.
You know you can’t beat that with a stick!
That means I’ll get off my back on the sofa and get in a nice walk. Yes, I’m retired and I’ve become a couch potato in my seniority. So, it’s important to get out and about and today I have a destination, too. Even when I do get out and about I don’t want to just wander aimlessly about the neighborhood. I need a destination. Well, I can return the novel The Sun Also Rises by Hemingway to the public library. I finished the novel a few days ago. I wish I had a dollar for each time I’ve read the novel over the past 45 years. I would have fun money for a month.
Speaking of fun money, I’ll have some fun money on Friday when I will hot foot it to Armand’s for my first beer of December 2017. Then on the way back home I’ll stop in at Sonny’s to see how the renovations are coming along. That new wooden bar top is beautiful with it’s shiny, brown veneer. Or I should say the wood is brown and the veneer is shiny. The bar should be all ready for karaoke Sunday night when I will once again test my theory of karaoke as an art form as well as being just for fun. I’ll be back to doing The Doors after having much fun singing The Animals.

“A full-time professional blogger must consume and produce content, doing both on a regular basis. Consuming content on a regular basis is easy. Producing it on a regular basis is not.”—Guy Hogan
“In everything I’ve read about Hemingway, he would get up early in the morning and write. It was the first task he set for himself in the morning. So, now the first task I set for myself in the morning is to blog. Papa was wise…”—Guy Hogan
