Hello, hello, hello, all you fans of karaoke, especially if you live in Pittsburgh! Guy Hogan is my name and karaoke is my game. It’s turned out to be a sunny day in The ‘Burgh with a high around 70. Sweet…
How’s everyone doing?
I hope you’re doing well; but if you’re not doing well I hope my little girlie magazine of culture for adults only can bring a ray of joy into your life just for a few minutes.
I did make it to Armand’s in Little Italy today where I had two 16 oz. cans of Pabst Blue Ribbon and I shot the breeze and watched Liberty Avenue for inspiration. Game shows were on the television at my end of the bar and I enjoyed watching them since now I have no television (I found out that without a television I get a lot more reading and blogging done).
Then I left Armand’s and walked to Sonny’s Tavern which is like three blocks from my apartment building and I had two more 16 oz. cans of PBR (I’m a functioning alcohol, but there are worse things to be and besides I’m retired) and a bag of cashews and I shot the breeze and watched the television…I can’t tell you what was on the television because it was all new to me and use to be trendy in the 90s–no that’s not it…never mild, but it did expand my knowledge of television…
Here is my karaoke schedule for June 2016. I will once again try to impersonate Jim Morrison on a good night.
4 June 2016 Nico’s in Little Italy Saturday Night
5 June 2016 Sonny’s Tavern in Little Italy Sunday Night
Hail to Pitt!
This is Guy Hogan reporting for the Pittsburgh Flash Fiction Gazette.
