Yesterday, I did my non-food shopping in Bloomfield, Pittsburgh’s “Little Italy.” I picked up laundry liquid, soap, disposable razors, paper lunch bags and anti-perspirant. Before I caught the 54C to Bloomfield I put a suit, tie and two shirts in the cleaners for my job interview with that local university on Wednesday. To get everything out of the cleaners will cost me $22!
Actually, I stayed on the 54C in Bloomfield and got off in Lawrenceville to visit my niece and then I walked back to Bloomfield to do my shopping. My niece owns Kiln N Time, a pottery shop in Lawrenceville.
I told her about the state hiring freeze and how the freeze kept me from being hired. She offered me a job. She and a friend who is a dance instructor are going to open an All Arts School and she asked would I like to be a writing instrcutor at the school? I said, definitely yes. I couple of customers came into the shop. She said we would talk. I left.
So now I have United Healthcare, a local university and now the All Arts School lined up for jobs. Something has to break my way soon.
