The study/work day is over. I’ve had my exposure to Microsoft Office Excel 2007. Once you get use to the different look it’s more user friendly than 2003. I think I finally understand the IF function. I don’t know how in-depth this job interview/Word-Excel-2007 test will be tomorrow but I certainly feel more confident about doing better than I would have done because of the past two days of exposure to Excel 2007.
It’s turning out to be a gray, overcast day in Pittsburgh. Before leaving downtown I picked up a small tin of black shoe polish. I’ll polish my boots tonight for the interview. After I leave here (Hemingway’s in Oakland) I’ll get two of my dress shirts out of the cleaners: $5:00. Since I don’t have to be at the interview until 2:00 pm I can get a good night sleep tonight, get up and eat breakfast, get in the shower and shave my face and head and then take a leisurely walk to the interview. It’s about six blocks away. If I get this gig I could walk to work every day even in the winter time.
I’m finding it impossible to write any new flash fiction stories when I’m this anxious about my finances. Good thing I have about 40 stories already written.
