Hello, all you rock ‘n’ rollers! It’s a sunny, hot (the high around 80) day in The ‘Burgh today. I’m doing those things a full-time blogger does (blogging, scanning and reading different news outlets on the Internet and engaging with social media) and giving thought to my vision of The Gazette and what the direction I want the magazine to go in.
Playboy Magazine was known for a lot more than just nude women. I haven’t bought a Playboy Magazine in years; but I am aware of its reputation for excellent investigative journalism and its award-winning interviews of the movers and shakers of entertainment, sports, politics, the arts, culture…You name it.
Well, I don’t have the resources that Hue Hefner had at his disposal; but I have found a topic that I can study and report back on and that I can be passionate about and that directly impacts me and tens-of-millions of other bloggers, too. That topic is Net Neutrality, the terribly important issue of a free and open Internet. A free and open Internet is something worth reporting on and fighting for.
A free and open Internet is now one of the core topics of the Pittsburgh Flash Fiction Gazette.
Hail to Pitt!
This is Guy Hogan reporting from the City of Pittsburgh.
