Hello, hello, hello, all you rock ‘n’ rollers! Let the games begin. I can see that beyond my windows it’s partly cloudy outside, but the weather forecasters report it will be a sunny day in The ‘Burgh today with a high around 85. Oh, well, I’ve always thought forecasting the weather is more of an art than a science.
I’m obsessed with page views. I hope to make 1,000 pages views every day a baseline for this blog by the end of the summer. The Gazette is averaging 927 page views every day for July 2016. This version of The Gazette went online February 2014. Here’s how many page views this blog as gotten each year it’s been online.
The Year 2014: 21,493 page views
The Year 2015: 133,261 page views
The Year 2016: 168,747 page views
Of course, there are several months left in 2016. And here’s something I just realized. Since February 2014, the only time this blog has gotten more than 25,000 page views for a single month was just twice.
April 2016: 28,441 page views
May 2016: 27,421 page views.
As of this morning, The Gazette has 24,357 page views for July 2016. It should get over 25,000 pages views in the next few hours, only the third time this will have happened since this blog has been online.
Only five more days before I’m back on my regular beat in Little Italy. Since the first day of August 2016 falls on a Monday and I won’t be doing karaoke at Sonny’s Tavern until the first Sunday night of next month I’ll have a chance to hangout at Sonny’s and to checkout any entertainment the place may have on the run up to karaoke.
One of the reasons I decided to make Sonny’s my choice for doing karaoke instead of Nico’s is that Sonny’s is like two blocks from my apartment building. Nico’s is like twelve blocks from my apartment building. And there’s more going on at Sonny’s (games, DJs, live music and karaoke). Nico’s just has karaoke. Oh, don’t get me wrong. I like Nico’s. I like the food. I like the clientele. I like the atmosphere. I like the staff. I like doing karaoke there. Sonny’s is just a better fit for me.
