Hello, hello, hello, all you rock ‘n’ rollers! Welcome to the City of Pittsburgh’s new magazine of culture for adults only.
What a beautiful day it’s turned out to be: sunny and the high will be around 54.
I just came back from Armand’s in Little Italy. I had a couple of cans of Pabst Blue Ribbon Beer (and later got a 12-pack to go) and shot the breeze with a regular and Gale the bartender (we’re all baby boomers) as I kept an eye on sunny Liberty Avenue for women in yoga pants (several walked or jogged by). It was a bright morning. My blues of the past several days (chilly and overcast) are gone.
And I thought I would just enjoy the freedom of being retired: hanging out in a friendly neighborhood bar, going back home to read my library books (FDR and Edgar Allan Poe), drinking beer, listening to the radio and maybe watching some porn.
I wasn’t going to do any blogging at all today. So far this month the Pittsburgh Flash Fiction Gazette is averaging around 980 page views every day!
You know you can’t beat that with a stick!
But then after I got back to my apartment and ate a bowl of spaghetti and drank a can of beer, out of habit I sat down at my workstation and checked on the sites I usually keep up with: The Huffington Post, The Village Voice, The Hill, Slate, Salon, Twitter, Tumblr and finally Egotastic All Stars.
Egotastic All Stars had some new photos of the British glamour model Summer St. Claire.
So, here is Summer St. Claire in all her glory.
Hail to Pitt!
PS The Pittsburgh Flash Fiction Gazette is about a lot more than nude women (Hue Hefner got it all wrong-nude women are not old-fashioned if you put the right content around them). Check out the site. Let me encourage you to follow my little girlie magazine or to take out a free email subscription or bookmark The Gazette today.
This is Guy Hogan reporting.
