The Old Soldier just came back from his stroll through Little Italy (Bloomfield) here in Pittsburgh. I stopped at Armand’s for a few draft beers and sat on my stool and I watched Liberty Avenue as I munched on three bags of peanuts. I’ve become addicted to peanuts while drinking beer at Armand’s.
Liberty Avenue was bright with sunshine and windy, the temperature in the 50s. I wore my gray hoodie and a black cloth cap. I sat on my stool, thinking that winter was only a few months away. The Pirates (baseball) had made it to the playoffs for the second year in a row and now their season was over. The Steelers (football) are now 3 and 2 and the Pens are about to begin a new hockey campaign.
Time waits for no man or woman.
