Hello, hello, hello, fans of the Pittsburgh Flash Fiction Gazette who live all over the world! Guy Hogan is my name and blogging is my game.
It is cold outside!
It’s overcast, the high will be 14 and the wind chill factor right now is a -10. When it’s this cold outside, and I have to go outside, I’m careful to dress in layers and to cover my skin. I cover my head. I wear a muffler around my neck. The last thing I want to do is to get a sore throat.
I’ve never missed karaoke at Nico’s in Little Italy because of the weather, but I do keep an eye on how cold it will be the night of karaoke and I make sure to catch the bus back home (I usually walk). I know where to stand out of the wind as I wait for the bus. And I can see the bus turn onto Liberty Avenue when it’s several blocks away. I’m waiting to see what the weather will be like the first Saturday night in February when I’ll give my next performance.
Other than the weather, I have nothing else to report right now. After a valiant effort, the Steelers loss to Denver 16-23, but few realist expected the Steelers to win.
This is Guy Hogan reporting from Pittsburgh.
Hail to Pitt!
