Hello, hello, hello, all you rock ‘n’ rollers all over the world! Guy Hogan is my name and flash fiction is my game.
The weather here in Pittsburgh sucks! I didn’t know how bad things were until I made a beer run this morning to the bar that’s two blocks down the street and I saw this uprooted tree on the lawn of the apartment building next door. The tree had a thick trunk and it seemed to be a healthy tree. I must have been really tired last night because I obviously slept through a storm.
Today in Pittsburgh there will be more clouds than sunshine and the high will only be around 65.
The numbers for September 2015 are in. Last month the Pittsburgh Flash Fiction Gazette averaged 166 visitors and 470 page views every day. My little girlie magazine got a total of 4,940 visitors and 14,086 page views last month.
You know you can’t beat that with a stick!
My friends, the Old Soldier salutes you! Thank you.
The agony is over. Last night The Cardinals defeated The Pirates 11-1. The Cardinals have secured the division title and will play a five game series in their bid to reach the World Series. The Pirates will now have to play a sudden death wildcard game in their bid to reach the World Series.
Well, I’m going to post this and then take off for Little Italy. First I’ll stop at the supermarket in Little Italy. Then I’ll wander into Armand’s and sit at the bar and drink beer and eat peanuts and think deep thoughts about life and writing.
I just wish there was some sunshine outside.
Be sure to check out the front page. You may have missed something.
This is Guy Hogan reporting for Pittsburgh’s premiere blog of commentary, culture and sex as art and entertainment.
Hail to Pitt!
